FEDERAL HOCKEY LEAGUE Federal Hockey League Free Agent Camp The Federal Hockey League is pleased to announce their 3rd Annual Free
Agent Camp in Syracuse, NY August 7th to 11th. There will be two parts to
the camp again this year. The goalies will take to the ice on Wednesday evening
and twice on Thursday. The top goalies will then proceed to a fourth
session Friday morning where the coaches will pick the best 12 to proceed to
the skaters part of the camp. The skaters will take to the ice Friday evening
for their first game. Saturday in the morning all players and goalies will go
thru a rugged practice before taking to the ice that evening for their second
game. The third and final game will be Sunday mid morning.
The cost of this camp is just $275 (US) and includes the practices, games (3
full 20 min. periods) team sweater, professional coaching as well as camp
insurance. The fee is non refundable. The FHL is finalizing a deal at this time
for a hotel partner.
The camp will be scouted by the coaches from the FHL and the league is
expecting CHL, ECHL, SPHL and other league coaches and scouts to attend
again this year.
This camp is for players who have finished their Junior and/or College eligibility
and who wish to continue their professional career. Last season saw 21
players from the camp play professional hockey in the U.S. In the last three
seasons, about 350 FHL players have received opportunities to play with
other professional teams in North America and Europe.
