Marquette Electricians Midget AAA Hockey (Tier I U-18) Head Coach Position The Marquette Electricians are accepting resumes for the 2013 - 2014 Season for Head Coach. About the Program: The Marquette Electricians are a Midget AAA Hockey program located in Michigan's Upper Peninsula in the city of Marquette. The Marquette Electricians participate in the highly competitive Northern Lakes Hockey League (NLHL) and is a member of the Michigan Amateur Hockey Association (MAHA), as well as, USA Hockey. The team begins practicing on ice in late August, practices 3 nights per week, and plays nearly all of its games on weekends. Overnight travel occurs approximately 8 – 10 weekends per season. The team plays a schedule of approximately 45-55 games per season. Since the program's inception, hundreds of players have moved on to junior, college, minor professional, Europe, and the National Hockey League. Preferred Qualifications: - USA Hockey Level 4 Certification. - Experience coaching at the high school and/or advanced youth travel level - Previous playing experience at an advanced level. - Strong leadership and disciplinary skills. - Sound knowledge of game theory and concepts including systems and special teams play Coaching stipend and travel expenses are based on experience. Coaches For Florida Eels Youth Travel Ice Hockey The Florida Eels Youth Travel Ice Hockey program is looking for good qualified coaches to join its youth program. We have travel teams in the following divisions: Squirt, Peewee, Bantam, U16 Midgets and U18 Midgets. The ideal candidates should have attained their USA Hockey Coaches certifications and age specific modules. However, if you are an experienced hockey player and have a lot of passion and have time to volunteer your talents we are interested. Typically practices are twice during the week and 2 games every other weekend. The season runs from Late August thru February The coaches need to prepare practice plans, be at every practice, run on ice and off ice training. Coaches need to be knowledgeable of the game and have the skills and competency to teach and demonstrate their skills in order to teach our travel players. Coaches need to be at each game. Travel is limited primarily to the South southwest and Southern East Coast of Florida. Head Coaches are provided with a stipend. Assistant Coaches are strictly volunteer.
