Federal Hockey League looking to expand for the 2013-2014 season
The Federal Hockey League is currently looking to expand our membership for the 2013-2014 season.. The level of play is excellent as mentioned in recent articles by Stan Fischler of the Fischler Report and the New York times The personnel involved with the Federal Hockey League have years of experience in business as well as in hockey. Accordingly, we set out to organize a minor league that would truly serve its’ members by taking most of the painstaking, time consuming, and mundane tasks away from the members’ responsibilities and instead placing them squarely on the shoulders of the league office. It is our intent to serve our member organizations as a management consultant and advisor thus allowing you, the member, to focus on four main areas; team corporate sales, team merchandising, ticket sales and player personnel We will play 60 regular season games this season. Our footprint allows for a greatly reduced travel budget where you may be able to commute to most of your games without the need for overnight lodging. The Independent Hockey League is hiring a Commissioner. Due to circumstances regarding the NHL lockout, our choice to fill this position had to decline the position. This position will include but not limited to: building and promoting the league, working with our overseas management, overseeing the day to day operations of the league, and hiring additional league staff. Qualified candidates should have experience in running day to day operations of a franchise or league, an exceptional knowledge of the rules of hockey, and have all work experience verifiable, with references.
