Volunteer Assistant Coach – University of Maryland (ACHA D2)
The University of Maryland Men’s Ice Hockey Club is seeking applicants for the position of Assistant Coach. This is a volunteer position. Our D2 team competes in the ACHA. The team practices twice per week and plays games on Friday and Saturday nights, with occasional Sunday games.
Job Responsibilities:
-Attend practices and games.
-Assist with the organization of practices and game plans.
-Teach on ice skills and player development.
-Create player evaluations and video presentations.
-Support recruiting efforts.
Qualifications:
-Playing and/or coaching experience at the Midget, Junior, College, or Pro level.
-Active USA Hockey Coaching Certification preferred (any level).
-Bachelor’s degree desired.
-Must be highly organized and driven.
-Positive and enthusiastic personality preferred.
