Penn State Men’s Club Hockey – Head Coach and Assistant Coach

The Penn State Men’s Club Hockey program is currently seeking both Head Coach and Assistant Coach candidates for the upcoming season and would appreciate any assistance in sharing these opportunities with your coaching network or posting them through your coaching opportunities platform.

enn State Men’s Club Ice Hockey M3 competes in the ACHA and College Hockey East and is looking for coaches who are committed to player development, leadership, and fostering a positive team culture.

Coaching Responsibilities Include:

• Attending practices, games, and team events as needed

• Developing practice plans, line combinations, and game strategies throughout the season

• Ensuring compliance with Penn State Club Sports, USA Hockey, and College Hockey East regulations

• Creating a hardworking, positive, and encouraging environment for student-athletes

Preferred Qualifications:

• USA Hockey Coaching Certification (Level 4 preferred for Head Coach candidates; Level 1 minimum for Assistant Coach candidates)

• Familiarity with the ACHA and collegiate hockey environment

• Three or more years of coaching experience at the 16U, AA, or higher level

• Current USA Hockey Background Screening and SafeSport certification

Position Benefits:

Our league schedule includes 16 conference games with travel primarily throughout Western Pennsylvania, Ohio, and potentially West Virginia.
