Wilkes University Assistant Women’s Ice Hockey Coach
The Assistant Coach will work in partnership with the Head Coach to continue the growth and competitive development of our NCAA Division III women’s ice hockey program. Wilkes University competes in the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) and is committed to fostering academic achievement, athletic excellence, and personal growth among our student-athletes.
Responsibilities Include:
● Assist with all aspects of program management, including practice planning, game preparation, and player development
● Recruit high-character, academically focused student-athletes capable of succeeding at a rigorous institution
● Support the academic success and personal well-being of student-athletes through regular communication and mentorship
● Execute on-ice instruction, off-ice training, and team travel logistics
● Assist with video breakdown, statistical analysis, and opponent scouting
● Uphold Wilkes University and NCAA Division III values and compliance standards
● Other duties as assigned by the Head Coach or Athletic Department leadership
Minimum Qualifications:
● Demonstrated leadership skills and strong hockey IQ
● Ability to recruit and connect with high school, junior, and transfer prospects
● Exceptional organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
● Valid driver’s license and ability to drive university vehicles
● Successful completion of background check and university-mandated clearances
