Position Summary

Purdue University Northwest Women’s Ice Hockey is looking for a passionate, motivated and knowledgeable Assistant Coach to support the development and growth of our program. This position will assist the Head Coach in all aspects of team operations including: on-ice instruction, practice planning, player development, recruiting, and game-day preparations. The ideal candidate brings strong hockey knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to building a competitive and positive team culture.

Responsibilities

● Assist with planning and leading on ice practices

● Support individual student-athlete development both on and off the ice

● Assist with video breakdown, pre scouting and team meetings

● Promote a positive, disciplined team first culture

● Communicate professionally with student-athletes, families, staff and other coaches

● Support recruiting efforts

● Assist with travel coordination and day to day team operations

● Serve as a positive role model for student-athletes

● Other duties as assigned

Schedule

On ice practice 3 days per week: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays 11a-12p CST in Hammond Indiana. Games are typically on Friday & Saturday evenings

Compensation

Pay will be determined based on experience and qualifications.
